We are very excited to present you the full run down of our 60 Years Anniversary event celebration took place on Sunday, 08 September 2024 in 3D Centre, Bolton.

The venue was decorated in celebration theme with balloons, banner and various other stuff. Many volunteered to help out in the event.

Guests including ladies came from all over the United Kingdom. There were many visiting guests from abroad too.

All in all this was a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Most of you have seen the event live, and those who were unable to or would like to revisit, here is the full presentation you can enjoy.

After the refreshment and once everyone took their place, organization’s president Abbasbhai Sufi started the event and invited Moulana Sadique for the recitation.

A 10 minutes video was played to show how our pioneers arrived in the United Kingdom in 1960s, how they survived the hardship. You can watch the video or skip to the next chapter.

Welcome to all the guests, and that this was the first time in the history of the organization… ladies were invited too.

Then the testimonies were heard from the surviving elders and families of the ones, who are no longer alive. Haji Ibrahim Gotli was unable to make in to the event and send a letter in Gujarati to read for the guests, which was full of wisdom. You can pause the clip read the letter.

Haji Ibrahim Munshi Audhiya, Haji Yakub Ghati. Haji Iqbal Issa, Haji Faruk Desai and Haji Mustak Munshi also spoke of their experiences, and how our ladies also went through sacrifices at the same time whilst settling down in this country. Dilawerbhai Majipatel read from the letter his dear uncle Dawoodbhai Majipatel wrote to the organization in 1967.

There were pages and pages of Archives shown in the presentation.

It was very inspiring and motivating to see the history. The legacy our elders left behind, needs to continue and time for the new beginning and hand over the baton. And the our born and bred British fellow villagers youth needs to be motivated to join. Hence, new initiatives were proposed as the current main issues facing our community in the United Kingdom.

There were many letters and communications of congratulations. Letter from former village politician Mubarak bhai Mirza, letters from Mosque committee, Youth committee, Iqbalbhai Issa, Ilyas Maji Patel from New Zealand, Mohsin Mavadiya, letters from Ismailbhai Somal in Canada, Musa Master Mavadiya and Haroonbhai Manjra. All wished best and congratulated and thanked on the good work organization has done over the last 60 years.

There was short clip sent by the High School committee highlighting the good work and the permission to start a new English primary education at the school premises.

Organization’s treasurer Yasinbhai Moulvi provided financial update.

Honorable Chairman Saeedbhai Hafeji gave short inspiring speech.

Honorable General secretory Shabbirbhai Uugradar thanked everyone for coming, thanked the 3D Centre owners for providing free venue, thanked volunteers for Ramadan collections, and thanked volunteers to support pre event tasks, and the tasks at the event.

Saeedbhai Hafeji presented lifetime achievement awards to the pioneers and executive members for their services in last 60 years.
